Hi and Welcome! We are so glad you have found our website. We are Emma and John Medcraft. Storytellers. Photographers. We are a husband and wife team and we love taking pretty pictures. We are local to Basingstoke and have lived in Hampshire all our lives. We have been lucky enough to have covered many weddings in the area. We are fully insured to cover weddings. We are also happy to travel for weddings too! As Award Winning Wedding Photographers we love working with couples to capture their special day as it unfolds in a documentary style. Having said that we do love a few posed photographs too so we do get a good variety. We meet with each couple beforehand, getting a sense of their personality. Nothing gets us more excited than seeing smiling, happy couples as they relive their cherished wedding memories through our images . We are so lucky this is our job! We have our own unique style giving each client a unique, unforgettable experience in front of the camera. I would describe our style as light airy timeless and romantic.

John and I love our clients like they are family. This probably isn't what you were expecting to read hear lets be honest. But this is what makes us unique compared to some of the other photographers around.
We want you to feel comfortable with us on your wedding day it is so important to us that we build a beautiful relationship with our clients. We don't want to just arrive on your special day knowing nothing about you and having no connection with you. That's just not us we love people! We want you to have the best experience in front of our cameras and to do this we must build trust with you. This is the foundation of our business. We also have a fair amount of knowledge on weddings you can ask us anything!

About us
Life Behind the Lens
My passion for photography started one Christmas. My parents had bought me a film camera and that was it I was hooked I loved taking photos of people. Myself and John got married in 2008 I then had our son Alfie two years later in 2010. Alfie has been diagnosed with ADHD and Autism and he goes to a school that can manage his needs. When I turned 20 I purchased my first DSLR and landed myself a job in a local night club as a photographer. I guess It was around this time I knew I wanted this to be my profession. John is very much a people person and he shares the same passion for photography as I do. We love to travel and we both love our food! John loves sweet treats I'm more of a savoury kind of girl. We have had all kinds of crazy pets over the years including a chameleon a bearded dragon and rats. We have a friendly neighbours cat who visits us regularly too. We have been very privileged this year to have been nominated and win wedding photography specialist of the year award at the prestige awards 24/25.
