I have wanted to write a blog on this subject for ages. Its actually something Im quite passionate about. Weddings can be very expensive so it may be tempting to cut back on certain things when planing your dream wedding. Sadly the photography is something I hear a lot of people are wanting to cut back on i am going to give you five good reasons why you probably shouldn't.
1 The quality of your images. A professional wedding photographer will have invested in the best equipment. John and I both use a canon R6 and we both have a range of different lenses for different jobs. But it not just about the equipment we use John and I have both had specific training in wedding photography so we both know how to use our equipment properly and get the best results out of it. We can both work in various lighting conditions and get the results we want. The camera has little to do with this and doesn't know what settings we need for the look we are going for. Putting your camera in automatic mode will not produce the same results as manual mode.
2 A professional wedding photographer will protect your images. Nobody ever wants to think about this subject but sometimes technically things can go wrong. A professional wedding photographer will have 2 or maybe 3 sets of your images backed up on there computer and on other devices this is to make sure your precious moments are not lost. They will also have insurance incase the worst happens its possible a non professional wont have cover. A non professional may not have contracts to protect you and the photographer.
3 Attention to detail. A professional wedding photographer is familiar with wedding ceremonies John and I know when crucial moments are about to happen. We know when we can move around and when we cant. We will also be giving your wedding 100 percent of our attention every detail no matter how big or small will be captured. There is nothing wrong with having a friend or family member to capture your wedding but they may miss important details that you may have wanted photos of. Our job is to create the story of your wedding day everything is done with intention. Everything happens on your wedding day once let the professional capture your day so you don't have to worry about it.
4 Consistency. A professional has there own style of photography we like bright light and airy images. We work hard to make sure that our editing is the same for all our clients this is how our work is consistant and is always of a high quality. A non professional may not produce the same consistency.
5 Relive your precious moments. A professional wedding photographer has invested time on training the best equipment and their expertise on editing to make sure you have the most beautiful wedding images. Your wedding photos are a investment Wedding photography takes time dedication and above all LOVE. You can relive the day and discover happy moments you may have missed.
The bottom line is your wedding day happens once choose a photographer you can trust with your precious moments.
