Who doesn't love autumn? As most of you know I can't stand being cold I will quite often shamelessly post on instagram in my big fluffy dressing gown. But there is something magical about autumn the red, yellow and orange leaves starting to fall off the trees as the winter nights start drawing in. All I need is hot chocolate and a warm blanket and I'm happy. Vanessa and Graham had chosen October to get married and it was a beautiful autumn day in Hampshire. John and I arrived a little early at the Wheatsheaf hotel in Hampshire. We decided to get a hot chocolate from the bar and once Graham had arrived I started on some close ups with the wedding rings as most of you know I love the little details and rings are one of my favourite things to photograph before long some guest where arriving for the wedding.
Once everyone was in the ceremony room it was time for Vanessa to make her grand entrance. I can honestly say she was glowing and yes for a moment I did feel a small tear roll down my cheek that I quickly wiped away. Her dress was very classic and very classy I think it suited her very well. The ceremony was quick but perfect all the same. Once the paper work was done and Vanessa and Graham had greeted their guests it was time from group photos. I was photographing Vanessas flowers and the colours were so vibrant she told me she had made them herself as she wanted to keep them after. We very quickly got through the list as it was getting a little chilly at this point in the day and the poor bridesmaids seem to be getting a little cold. We sent the guests inside to warm up and get another drink. We spent around 20 minuets outside with our newlywed couple to get some just married portraits once we had finished we went back inside for a warm hot chocolate I had three that day. The hotel was full of mirrors so I wanted to take advantage of this and one of my favourite portraits is of Vanessa and Graham in the mirror. The Wheatsheaf is perfect for a small weddings in Hampshire it's a little hidden gem.
Vanessa and Graham's wedding was a dream to capture and we wish them all the best.
